Customs value adjustment (CVA)

CVA is a change by customs of the declared value of the goods if the inspector considers it understated or unreliable. As a result, duty and VAT are recalculated upward. The adjustment decision must be substantiated: customs is obliged to state why the declared value cannot be recognized and what data it relies on. A disputed UKT ZED code and classification

The UKT ZED code determines the duty rate, the need for permits and non-tariff measures. A wrong code leads to the wrong rate, remarks and delay.
