The Broker's Fee and Customs Payments Are Not the Same
This is the main thing to distinguish when estimating a customs clearance budget:
- The broker's fee — payment for the declaring work: classification, document preparation, filing the declaration, support. Goes to the broker.
- Customs payments — duty, VAT and excise. They are calculated on the customs value and go to the state budget, not to the broker.

A company imports a consignment of three commodity items under a single contract.
